Inauguration and Blessing of Anjali Hospital
The Indian Province celebrated a historic milestone on February 2, 2025, with the inauguration and solemn blessing of the commencement of newly built Anjali Hospital. This remarkable event was graced by the esteemed presence of Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Augustine, who served as the main celebrant for the Holy Eucharist. Fourteen priests joined him in concelebrating this sacred occasion. The hospital was officially inaugurated by Sister Margarete Ulager, the General Superior of our Congregation and the Archbishop blessed the hospital building, marking a new chapter in the province's mission of compassionate healing presence.
Adding to the significance of this occasion was the presence of the honorable Mr. Sampat Agrawal, MLA of the Basna Constituency. The celebration was enriched by the participation of distinguished dignitaries, renowned doctors, sisters from various communities, members of other congregations, neighbors, parishioners from Pithora, and numerous well-wishers. The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as the community gathered to witness this transformative moment.
The event was further honored by the presence of Sister M. Margarete Ulager, Sister M. Rita Edakkoottathil, Sister M. Lima Arackal, Prof. Fr. Dr. Michael Plattig, O. Carm., and Mr. Axel Grützner and Prof. Dr. Michael Möllmann from Germany. Representing the U.S. Canonical House were Sister Maureen O’Connor and Sister Emerencia Tirkey, whose participation added to the international significance of the occasion.
The inauguration of Anjali Hospital stands as a testimony to the congregation’s charism, “The Healing Presence,” and its commitment to providing quality healthcare while serving the poor and the sick with love and compassion. The event was not merely a celebration of a building but a profound dedication to the mission of healing and hope, embodying the motto of the hospital- “Healing Radiates Life.” The joyous gathering of people from all walks of life reflected a spirit of unity and shared purpose, making February 2, 2025, a memorable day in the history of our Indian Province.
