Fourth Indian Provincial Chapter - 2026

February 02, 2026
Dear Sisters,
On this World Day of Consecrated Life, Indian Province Day and Installation of the New Province Leadership, we are delighted to share with you a glimpse of the Provincial Chapter's various experiences.
Father Michael Plattig reminded us that the chapter is a process - a journey towards growth and transformation. The love of God is the driving and unifying force, as God proclaims: 'You are my son, my daughter', a truth that will never be revoked. The closing document invites every sister in the province to take responsibility for her own personal transformation - a journey that never ends.
Today, Brother Philip Pinto inspired us with a message about the profound love of God. His words resonated deeply: God asks us daily: 'Did you believe that I loved you? That I desired you? That I waited for you day after day? That I longed to hear the sound of your voice?' Transformation begins when we realize the boundless love of God. May we carry this awareness in our hearts and live it out in our daily lives.
Before approving the Closing Document Brother Philip reminded the capitulars that 'When you vote, take time to remind yourself that you are not voting just on a Document. By voting you express to yourself that, ‘I am committing myself to this document, to the changes, to the newness and to the ways of God.' The capitulars unanimously approved the closing Document of the chapter 2026. All the participants agreed that it is a spiritual document.
Our Provincial Superior, Sr. M. Johncy, proposed a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to Sister M. Margarete, the Presiding Officer; Brother Philip Pinto, the facilitator and moderator; Fr. Michael Plattig, our spiritual Advisor; and all the sisters of the province and the international congregation for their prayerful support and accompaniment throughout the chapter. Special thanks were given to all those who worked behind the scenes to ensure the success of the Chapter.
Sister M. Margarete shared to the participants of the chapter: this is our time and our turn to step into the future with courage, hope, and confidence. Trusting in God’s faithfulness, we move forward together, knowing that He walks with us always. May the light of this chapter candle, that has enlightened us so quietly during these days of the Chapter, not be extinguished in our hearts and may we carry this light with us to the places God has entrusted to each of us, shine through us - gently or brightly, as needed - and may it bring the spirit and grace of this Chapter into the world. Sister M. Margarete invited Fr. Michael to bless all the participants of the chapter. She then asked every sister in the province to embrace the spirit of the Chapter Document and officially declared the Fourth Provincial Chapter closed.
Archbishop Emeritus Rev. Dr. Joseph Augustine was the main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist concelebrated with Fr. Michael, Fr. Sebastian A, and Fr. Thainese Raj. During the Eucharist celebration, Sister M. Margarete, our general superior, installed the new provincial leadership team in a very moving ceremony. It was a moment of grace and blessing. Sister M. Margarete invoked blessings upon the new leadership team, inspiring them as she said, "You have been called by your sisters to provincial leadership. Resolve to continue your baptismal commitment by responding to God’s call to conversion. Offer your gifts to build up the body of Christ and proclaim the gospel through your words and deeds. Together, we will journey to accomplish the ministry entrusted to us. Eph’phatha - Be Opened”. After the Holy Eucharist we felicitated the new leadership.
We thank you dear Sisters for accompanying us during these days of the chapter. May the joy and peace of Christ be yours!
